Very First Birthday Party

Branson and Holden turned 1 last week and we had their First Birthday Party on Sunday. It was really fun for the boys to get so much love and attention from everyone! They had a great time getting into their "smash" cake and eating cake and icing for the very first time. It was truly a mess but worth every smeared crumb. We all had a fun time.

New Kicks!

We went shoe shopping today and got fitted for our first pair of shoes. Yippee! They whined a little bit and tried to curl their toes when the woman put shoes on them for the first time. However, they got over it quickly and now love their new shoes (which have a cute little choo choo train on one side too). They also got "bells" for their shoelaces ~ so they can't keep untying them. Also, and thankfully for mommy, both boys wear the same size! Phew.

Celebration at Cici's

1 year old today!!! We took the boys to Cici's Pizza to help celebrate on their special day; their party is this weekend. Their good friend Anna Katherine met us there and surprised us with cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday to the boys which they loved. They were locked on her the entire time and both boys were flirting up a storm!

Swingtime

Our boys like action! They love to explore and look for trouble no matter where they are.... they just need a little action all the time. We took them to the park today to swing and they loved it. The weather has been so nice lately, we have been trying to go for wagon walks and get in some fun fresh air too. Branson and Holden just light up and calm down when they are outdoors. Here are some pictures to show you their happy smiles. Branson was shaking his entire body while on the swings, laughing and loving every minute of it. It was hilarious!

We recently took our first vacation since the boys were born and had a great time. They boys got a good report from Grandpa and Susie and had a nice little vacation themselves out on the farm. We had a fun time while were were gone, but it was good to get back to see them. It was just enough time for a nice little relaxing break. I think they grew while we were away!

We have a man down... sorry for the delay in posting anything lately, but my back has been out. Not just out, I mean OUT! The dynamic duo has put a hurtin' on my already feeble and failing back. It's slowly feeling a bit better. But enough about me as I am sure you want to hear the latest and greatest about our fun little boys. Notice I say boys and not babies... they are getting so big and boyish! They are babbling all the time and are fast as lightening. No walkers yet; a few unassisted steps from Holden a few days ago but that's it. They like to use the toy walker to walk with and ram into the walls and chairs cursing in baby talk when it gets stuck. It's funny to see them go from one extreme to the other when that happens! We had a happy Easter and hope you all did too. Here are a few shots of them from Easter Sunday.
