Baby Boy Holden

Holden, or "O" as Branson calls him, is my quiet boy. He is such a good boy and listens so well you may think he isn't paying attention to you; he is what you would call a covert listener. Not really looking at you half the time as you are talking to him, but then minding almost always or smiling once you've told him something. Wish I could say that for Branson, who pretty much does the opposite of what you tell him. I think Holden got the guilty-conscience for both of them. He is extremely coordinated and very athletic. It is impressive to watch Holden playing outside and running; he will definitely excel at sports I feel sure. He has been an expert slider on the swingset from his very first slide - fast and always lands on his feet! He plays well by himself and sometimes prefers it. The boy can make some wild silly faces at you too. Sometimes he is shy around strangers and won't look at them (closing his eyes). Holden is usually too busy playing with little matchbox cars or loading up the back of dump trucks with his toys to really cuddle. He may let you hug on him for a minute then tries to escape. He only likes to cuddle before bedtime; and then he turns into a Mama's Boy big time. When he talks you have to listen closely, remember he is my quiet boy. I think he may let Branson do some of the talking for him ~ either that or he can't get a word in because his brother is so busy being a chatter box? He has no interest in sitting on the potty for more than 3 seconds. Holden is a dog lover. He especially loves our dog Gracie but really gets excited with seeing any dogs! He cares more for food than for milk (a most noticeable difference with him and his brother). I love that Holden is such a book lover... he never met a book he didn't like and I think he is a very smart little boy.
